Prince William spent two days in Estonia this week, visiting British troops stationed at Tapa Camp as part of NATO’s Operation Cabrit. It’s not only his first visit to the country, but also his first international trip of 2025.
On a visit to the country’s capital, Tallinn, William was scheduled “learn more about how the country has responded to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and how Estonia is innovating in renewable energy and technology amid the critical energy security issues in Eastern Europe.” Donning camouflage and a NATO badge, William toured training grounds, observed military exercises, and climbed into a Challenger 2 tank—striking a deliberately symbolic pose near the Russian border.
