Makes me think of when Tom Cruise tried to rebrand Katie Holmes as Kate. Once a celebrity is known in one way it’s impossible to get all of society to pivot.
I always laugh at the comments from people correcting the media when they use 'Kate Middleton'. If Kate wanted it corrected, she would have done so years ago. I have commented in the past that even after her marriage, Diana was occasionally called 'Lady Di' and I don't think anyone minded (although there wasn't social media back then, and no one would print 20 of the same letters to the editor, lol).
